Beware, from the curse of history!
Singing to the Homeland, its independence and freedom, Gjergj Fishta strongly opposed the division of Albanian land into parts, to give them to neighboring countries!
There was no way to express more forcefully the aggressive policy of the time when Albania was divided, which began in 1878 and continued with severity and decisiveness in 1913.
Fishta makes a strong appeal to the great powers of Europe, which were completely ungrateful towards our country, even though we helped Europe so much in its most difficult times!
Fishta, analyzing the real situation in detail, explodes with great force and directly, when he says:
Uh! Europe, you whore of the weather,
that has fallen into disbelief in God,
yes, is this a sign of citizenship:
give me the land of Albania,
to keep the clichés of Russia?
Albania’s negotiations for the EU must be correct.
A divided Albania in a united Europe is not correct and just!
First there must be a united Albania, then a united Europe, this is the most absolute right.
