U k\u00ebnaqa pa mas\u00eb dhe m\u00eb erdhi aq mir\u00eb q\u00eb nj\u00eb shqiptar i m\u00ebrgimit, sic \u00ebsht\u00eb Profesor Repishti &#8212; viktima koshiente e terrorit komunist n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri dhe mbrojt\u00ebsi i t\u00eb drejtave t\u00eb shqiptar\u00ebve nga katedrat universitare amerikane dhe n\u00eb zyrat m\u00eb t\u00eb larta t\u00eb qeveris\u00eb amerikan &#8212; nderohet n\u00eb k\u00ebte m\u00ebnyr\u00eb nga vendlindja e tij, p\u00ebr t\u00eb cil\u00ebn punoi dit\u00eb e nat\u00eb dhe me p\u00ebrkushtimin e nj\u00eb patrioti t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Nuk e kam n\u00eb mend q\u00eb t\u00eb rrjeshtoj\u00eb veprat, shkrimet, intervistat, fjalimet, konferencat dhe d\u00ebshmit\u00eb e dh\u00ebna nga Profesor Repishti &#8212; nep\u00ebr qendrat akademike amerikane e deri tek Sht\u00ebpia e Bardh\u00eb e Kongresi amerikan gjat\u00eb viteve, n\u00eb mbrojtje t\u00eb interesave komb\u00ebtare, pasi bota shqiptare n\u00eb p\u00ebrgjith\u00ebsi njeh mir\u00eb veprimtarin\u00eb e Profesorit. Por deshta t\u00eb p\u00ebrsh\u00ebndes mikun tim Profesor Repishtin p\u00ebr nderin q\u00eb i b\u00ebri Shkodra dhe t\u00eb uroj dhe t\u00eb falenderoj Bashkin\u00eb e Shkodr\u00ebs p\u00ebr vendimin fisnik q\u00eb mori p\u00ebr t\u00eb em\u00ebruar nj\u00eb rrug\u00eb t\u00eb k\u00ebtij qyteti, &#8221;Rruga Profesor Sami Repishti&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Dua t\u00eb p\u00ebrsh\u00ebndes mikun tim Sami Repishtin si nj\u00ebrin prej atyre shqiptaro-amerikan\u00ebve q\u00eb besonte se dashuria p\u00ebr Amerik\u00ebn mundej dhe duhej t\u00eb k\u00ebthehej n\u00eb sh\u00ebrbim t\u00eb interesave t\u00eb kombit shqiptar. Profesor Repishti ishte nj\u00ebri nd\u00ebr personat m\u00eb t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00ebsish\u00ebm t\u00eb komunitetit q\u00eb informoi publikun amerikan si dhe Uashingtonin zyrtar, gjat\u00eb gjys\u00ebm shekullit t\u00eb kaluar, mbi gj\u00ebndjen e mjerueshme t\u00eb shqiptar\u00ebve n\u00ebn regjimin komunist t\u00eb Enver Hoxh\u00ebs dhe mbi gjenocidin e ushtruar nga sllavo-komunist\u00ebt kund\u00ebr shqiptar\u00ebve n\u00eb Kosov\u00eb dhe n\u00eb troje t\u00eb tjera n\u00ebn ish-Jugosllavin\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Bashkia e Shkodr\u00ebs nderon, pra, nj\u00ebrin prej eksponentave kryesor\u00eb t\u00eb komunitetit shqiptaro-amerikan q\u00eb njeh shum\u00eb mir\u00eb shoq\u00ebrin\u00eb amerikane dhe bot\u00ebn shqiptare, dhe i cili ka punuar p\u00ebr forcimin e marr\u00ebdh\u00ebnjeve midis kombit amerikan dhe kombit shqiptar, si nj\u00eb garanci p\u00ebr nj\u00eb t\u00eb ardhme m\u00eb t\u00eb ndritur t\u00eb kombit shqiptar, q\u00eb ai t\u00eb z\u00ebj\u00eb vendin q\u00eb i takon n\u00eb radh\u00ebt e kombeve t\u00eb p\u00ebrparuara t\u00eb bot\u00ebs per\u00ebndimore. Sot, si edhe m\u00eb par\u00eb gjat\u00eb gjith\u00eb karjer\u00ebs s\u00eb tij, Profesor Repishti gjithmon\u00eb e p\u00ebrdori k\u00ebt\u00eb njohuri vet\u00ebm p\u00ebr t\u00eb mir\u00ebn e kombit shqiptar. Duke nderuar Profesor Repishtin, Shkodra nderon t\u00eb gjith\u00eb komunitetin shqiptar n\u00eb Amerik\u00eb. Komuniteti shqiptaro-amerikan \u00ebsht\u00eb krenar me nderimin q\u00eb iu b\u00eb Samiut nga Bashkia e Shkodr\u00ebs, pasi ai vet \u00ebsht\u00eb personifikimi i komunitetit shqiptaro-amerikan si edhe shembull i mund\u00ebsive t\u00eb m\u00ebdha intelektuale dhe i forc\u00ebs morale dhe shpirt\u00ebrore q\u00eb ky komunitet ka n\u00eb gjirin e tij. Me sakrifica e flijime personale, Profesor Sami Repishti, duke u bazuar n\u00eb tradit\u00ebn dhe trash\u00ebgimin\u00eb shpirt\u00ebrore dhe morale t\u00eb kombit ton\u00eb, \u00ebshte prij\u00ebs n\u00eb veprimtarin\u00eb e komunitetit shqiptaro-amerikan, i cili vazhdon t\u00eb mbaj\u00eb lart\u00eb lavdin\u00eb e kombit shqiptar n\u00eb bot\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>I shtyr\u00eb nga nj\u00eb dinamiz\u00ebm amerikan, bile edhe n\u00eb mosh\u00eb t\u00eb shkuar, ai sot e k\u00ebsaj dite, nuk pushon s\u00eb punuari n\u00eb interes t\u00eb kombit, i p\u00ebrkrahur nga rrethi i vjet\u00ebr por edhe i admiruar nga dashamir\u00eb t\u00eb ri t\u00eb komunitetit, Profesor Repishti gjithnj\u00eb shkruan dhe merr pjes\u00eb n\u00eb manifestime, darka e celebrime t\u00eb komunitetit shqiptar n\u00eb Amerik\u00eb &#8212; nj\u00eb shembull i gjall\u00eb e frym\u00ebzues p\u00ebr brezin e ri. Ai \u00ebsht\u00eb dekan i t\u00eb drejtave t\u00eb njeriut i komunitetit, i cili si antar i organizat\u00ebs nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtare p\u00ebr t\u00eb drejtat e njeriut, Amnesty International, me dekada, ka zhvilluar veprimtari n\u00eb mbrojtje t\u00eb t\u00eb drejtave t\u00eb njeriut, jo vet\u00ebm n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri e n\u00eb Kosov\u00eb, por edhe an\u00eb e mban\u00eb bot\u00ebs.<\/p>\n<p>Prandaj i dashur Sami, megjith\u00ebse t\u00eb njoh si njeri modest, ke arsye t\u00eb jesh\u00eb krenar p\u00ebr nderin q\u00eb t\u00eb b\u00ebri vendlindja jote Shkodra &#8212; p\u00ebr veprat dhe shkrimet e shum\u00ebta tuat, q\u00ebllimi i t\u00eb cilave gjithmon\u00eb ishte dhe \u00ebsht\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb ngritur nd\u00ebrgjegjen e bot\u00ebs ndaj padrejt\u00ebsive dhe vuajtjeve t\u00eb shqiptar\u00ebve, si edhe p\u00ebr vuajtjet tua n\u00eb burgjet komuniste shqiptare, ku ke qen\u00eb d\u00ebshmitar arrestimesh, burgosjes, ekzekutimesh pa gjygj dhe lloj-lloj ushtrimesh t\u00eb terrorit komunist kund\u00ebr bijve e bijave m\u00eb t\u00eb mir\u00eb t\u00eb Shkodr\u00ebs e t\u00eb mbar\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb. Jeta jote \u00ebsht\u00eb nj\u00eb thesar i \u00e7muesh\u00ebm i kombit, nj\u00eb shembull p\u00ebr tu ndjekur e lavd\u00ebruar.
