Njohja me Peshkop Nolin, me sa duket ishte edhe zanafilla e fillimit t\u00eb nj\u00eb aktiviteti t\u00eb madh dhe t\u00eb gj\u00ebr\u00eb n\u00eb fush\u00ebn e letrave shqipe dhe posa\u00e7\u00ebrisht Prof. Prifti spikat si nj\u00eb studiues i shquar p\u00ebr historin\u00eb e komunitetit ton\u00eb n\u00eb Amerik\u00eb. Noli, zbuloi tek Peter-i i ri talentin dhe pasionin e tij t\u00eb fshehur ne gji, p\u00ebr t\u2019iu p\u00ebrkushtuar studimeve shqiptare, duke e inkuadruar n\u00eb ambientet e ngrohta t\u00eb Federat\u00ebs Panshqiptare \u201cVatra\u201d (1912) n\u00eb Boston, s\u00eb pari si Sekretar i Federat\u00ebs dhe m\u00eb von\u00eb si ndihm\u00ebs redaktor n\u00eb gazet\u00ebn \u201cDielli\u201d, me kryeredaktor Qerim Panaritin.<\/p>\n

Qysh n\u00eb vitin 1958 dhe deri sa Noli i Madh kalon n\u00eb amshim ata nuk iu ndan\u00eb njeri tjetrit n\u00eb g\u00ebzime dhe hidh\u00ebrime brenda gjirit te komunitetit t\u00eb njohur shqiptaro-amerikan\u00eb n\u00eb Boston.<\/p>\n

Prof. Prifti u dallua n\u00eb organizimin e nj\u00eb seminari shkencoro-historik kushtuar Gjergj Kastriotit. K\u00ebshtu n\u00eb vitin 1960 ai, ishte sekretar i Vatr\u00ebs, ku u muar me organizimin e Seminarit t\u00eb Par\u00eb, mbi Studimet Shqiptare n\u00eb historin\u00eb e Federat\u00ebs. Themeluesi i Vatr\u00ebs Noli, mori pjes\u00eb n\u00eb Seminar dhe e b\u00ebri p\u00ebr vete ambientin p\u00ebrkujtimor me fjalimin q\u00eb mbajti p\u00ebr Sk\u00ebnderbeun.<\/p>\n

Prof. Prifti, gjithnj\u00eb ka bashk\u00ebpunuar me nj\u00eb elit\u00eb shum\u00eb t\u00eb zgjedhur intelektual\u00ebsh n\u00eb Amerik\u00eb, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt i ka njohur nga af\u00ebr, ku ka shk\u00ebmbyer p\u00ebrvoj\u00eb dhe let\u00ebrk\u00ebmbime, dokumente dhe dor\u00ebshkrime t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00ebsishme. T\u00eb till\u00eb ishin: Prof. Safete Juka, Prof. Arshi Pipa, Prof. Sami Repishti, Prof. Nicholas Pano, Prof. Stavro Skendi, Prof. Gjon Sinishta, e shum\u00eb t\u00eb tjer\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Prof. Prifi \u00ebsht\u00eb dalluar p\u00ebr studimet e tij t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00ebsishme, q\u00eb p\u00ebrfshijn\u00eb nj\u00eb spekt\u00ebr t\u00eb gj\u00ebr\u00eb n\u00eb rrafshin alabnologjik. T\u00eb tilla jan\u00eb studimet origjinale p\u00ebr t\u00eb sqaruar problemin e Kosov\u00ebs para opinionit publik nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtar. (The Albanians in Yugoslavia in Light of Historical Documents.) por nga ana e tjet\u00ebr ai ka pas nj\u00eb stim\u00eb t\u00eb ve\u00e7ant\u00eb p\u00ebr let\u00ebrsin\u00eb shqipe t\u00eb tradit\u00ebs, ku u muar me shum\u00eb p\u00ebrkthime n\u00eb anglisht nga poezia dhe proza shqipe, p\u00ebrkthime k\u00ebto q\u00eb jan\u00eb botuar n\u00eb organe t\u00eb ndryshme t\u00eb shtypit.<\/p>\n

Lajmin e hidhur p\u00ebr kalimin n\u00eb ameshim t\u00eb studiuesit t\u00eb shquar t\u00eb historis\u00eb dhe letrave shqipe t\u00eb komunitetit shqiptaro-amerikan\u00eb Prof. Peter Priftit me banim n\u00eb California, si \u00e7do njeri tjet\u00ebr, q\u00eb e ka njohur p\u00ebr s\u2019af\u00ebrmi dhe ata t\u00eb cil\u00ebt kan\u00eb lexuar shkrimet dhe studimet e tij t\u00eb vyera n\u00eb disa fusha t\u00eb albanologjis\u00eb son\u00eb, do t\u2019a presin me shum\u00eb dhimbje dhe hidh\u00ebrim t\u00eb thell\u00eb vdekjen e tij fizike.<\/p>\n

Me Profesor Priftin kam pas fatin, nderin dhe privilegjin e ve\u00e7ant\u00eb t\u00eb takohem disa here n\u00eb Boston dhe New York. Ishte nj\u00eb intelektual me shum\u00eb vlera dhe virtyte tipike shqiptare, zem\u00ebrgj\u00ebr\u00eb, goj\u00ebmb\u00ebl, i dashur dhe i gatsh\u00ebm si gjithmon\u00eb t\u2019u vij\u00eb n\u00eb ndihm\u00eb \u00e7do shqiptari t\u00eb emigruar n\u00eb Tok\u00ebn e Bekuar t\u00eb Amerik\u00ebs, q\u00eb kishte nevojen p\u00ebr te.<\/p>\n

Ai ishte nj\u00eb enciklopedi e pashtershme, q\u00eb ecte me dy k\u00ebmb\u00eb, nj\u00eb bibliotek\u00eb e gjall\u00eb, q\u00eb t\u00eb jepte infomacione, sqarime, njohuri dhe mendime t\u00eb vlefshme, p\u00ebr disa l\u00ebme te dij\u00ebs dhe posa\u00e7\u00ebrisht t\u00eb shkenc\u00ebs s\u00eb albanologjis\u00eb son\u00eb. Ai ishte nj\u00eb bashk\u00ebkoh\u00ebs dhe njoh\u00ebs shum\u00eb i mir\u00eb i shum\u00eb fytyrave t\u00eb ndritshme t\u00eb komunitetit ton\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Prej shum\u00eb dekadash ka bashk\u00ebpunuar me t\u00eb gjith\u00eb llojet e mediave shqiptare n\u00eb Amerik\u00eb, duke u dh\u00ebn\u00eb sa m\u00eb shum\u00eb njohuri bashk\u00ebkombasve t\u00eb vet, p\u00ebrmes fjal\u00ebs s\u00eb shkruar dhe bisedave q\u00eb ka zhvilluar n\u00eb studiot e radiove dhe televizor\u00ebve koh\u00ebt e fundit\u2026<\/p>\n

P\u00ebrmes tij dhe pend\u00ebs s\u00eb shquar, ai ka b\u00ebr\u00eb t\u00eb njohur vlerat m\u00eb t\u00eb mira t\u00eb kombit shqiptar, duke bashk\u00ebpunuar me shum\u00eb albanolog amerikan\u00eb dhe ato europian\u00eb, duke i ndihmuar p\u00ebr t\u00eb njohur me gj\u00ebr\u00eb e thell\u00eb popullin dhe gjith\u00e7ka p\u00ebr tok\u00ebn e shqiponjave.<\/p>\n
