Kur kujtojme emnin e Tom Nikolles rapsod, menjihere na vijne ne mend fjalte e kanges se Halil Gashit, me te cilen u bashkuan ne nje emen, ne nje trup, sikur kjo kange dhe akti moral i trimit Halil Gashi ne mbrojtje te nderit te familjes vet u perjetesuan ne melodine e kangen model te artistit Tom.<\/p>\n<p>Qysh me themelimin e Ansamblit Shteterore te Kangeve e Valleve , rapsodi popullor do ta gjente veden midis artisteve me te degjuar shqiptar si Cesk Zadeja, Pipi Mitrojorgji, Lucie Miloti, Xhevdet Hafizi, Fiqrete Rexha, Sali Brari, Ibrahim Tukiqi, Drita Papajani, Naile Hoxha etj. &#8220;Jam ndjere i perkedhelur mes artisteve te medhenje &#8211; thote ma vone Toma , sepse ata nuk ishin vetem te famshem per kangen e vallen, por edhe shume njerezore e vellazerore&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Nikolla do te zgjidhej midis disa artisteve te rinje shqiptar qe do te perfaqesonin Shqiperine ne festivalin e VI boteror te rinise i cili do te zhvillohej ne Moske. Toma, qe e kishte rrite shtatin ne malesi, do te ndjehej disi ngusht ne metropolin e madh rus, ku do te shikonte per here te pare tramvaje, metr\u00f2, bulevarde, ndertesa, dhe se fundi skena luksoze te dimensioneve te paimagjinushme, por biri i shqiptarit nuk bie asnjihere keq para situatave te tilla, ai di te ambientohet fale intuites se tij te lindur, keshtu edhe per Tomen u deshten vetem disa ore e te ndjehej si ne Shqiperine e vet.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ishte 2 gushti i vitit 1957 &#8211; tregon Toma .Ishte nje salle mahnitese me nje publik shume entuziast. U thirr emri im. Me kaluan vetem disa emocione te fillimit, mandej e \u00e7ova mendjen sikur isha krejt vetem ne nje suke te Iballes.Krijova siguri dhe \u00e7iftelia nxori tingujt e pare, pastaj kanga. Salla heshti deri ne fund te kanges, pastaj nje brohori e madhe, duartrokitje te gjata. Une pershendeta dhe dola.Te lumte degjova zanin e shokeve &#8211; vazhdon Toma&#8221;. Ishte pra kjo kange dhe kjo date qe do te hynte ne jeten e artistit, por edhe ne historuine shqiptare te te pares medalje ari qe do te hynte ne Shqiperi. Me vone artisti i mmadh do te burrerohej me kange ne goje; ne mal e fushe, ne katund e qytet, jashte e brenda vendit.Keto dite Tom Nikolla festoi 87 vjetorin e lindjes.
