Me 8 mars 2005 Instituti i Paqes Kessel (Kessel Peace Institute) nderoi Ermira Babamust\u00ebn me \u00e7mimin \u201cGruaja Nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtare e Kurajos\u201d (International Woman of Courage Award). Instituti nderoi Ermir\u00ebn si nj\u00eb nga grat\u00eb e jasht\u00ebzakonshme p\u00ebr kontributin e saj p\u00ebr paqe, promovim t\u00eb drejtave t\u00eb gruas dhe vlerave kulturore p\u00ebr ShBA-n\u00eb, Shqip\u00ebrin\u00eb dhe Kosov\u00ebn. P\u00ebr k\u00ebto tema, Ermira Babamusta \u00ebsht\u00eb angazhuar duke dh\u00ebn\u00eb leksione t\u00eb ndryshme, seminare p\u00ebr publikun amerikan, prezantime kulturore dhe ka trajnuar diplomat\u00eb t\u00eb Ministris\u00eb s\u00eb Mbrojtjes dhe Kultur\u00ebs n\u00eb Angli n\u00eb p\u00ebrgaditje p\u00ebr sh\u00ebrbim n\u00eb Kosov\u00eb. Momentalisht Ermira po p\u00ebrfundon punimin shkencor t\u00eb doktoratur\u00ebs (dega shkenca politike) n\u00eb lidhje me \u00e7\u00ebshtjen politike dhe diplomatike t\u00eb Kosov\u00ebs.<\/p>\n

Instituti i Paqes Kessel \u00ebsht\u00eb themeluar nga Abbas Kessel, aktivist i paqes dhe profesor i shkencave politike n\u00eb universitetin \u201cMinnesota State University\u201d, ku Ermira ka p\u00ebrfunduar masterin e par\u00eb. Ermira fitoi bursin e paqes n\u00eb shkenca politike (Dr. John Scherzer Scholarship, Washington DC), si studente e dalluar me aspirata p\u00ebr lidere dhe kontribut nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtar. Ermira Babamusta ka mbaruar dy mastera n\u00eb Shkenca Politike dhe Administrim Publik, si dhe programin e avancuar \u201cDiplomacia e OKB-s\u00eb, ku dhe ka punuar p\u00ebr departamentin e paqes t\u00eb OKB-s\u00eb n\u00eb New York.<\/p>\n

\u201cI uroj t\u00eb gjitha grave dhe n\u00ebnave g\u00ebzuar 8 marsin! Me k\u00ebt\u00eb rast falenderoj mamin tim (Suzana) q\u00eb e dua dhe respektoj p\u00ebr mir\u00ebsin\u00eb dhe fisnik\u00ebrin\u00eb e saj. Jam krenare q\u00eb shqiptar\u00ebt, sidmos grat\u00eb shqiptare kan\u00eb nderuar kombin n\u00ebp\u00ebr bot\u00eb me arritjet dhe sukseset e tyre, duke portretizuar nj\u00eb figur\u00eb t\u00eb fuqishme. Grat\u00eb kan\u00eb p\u00ebrparuar n\u00eb shum\u00eb fusha q\u00eb nga politika e deri tek familja duke forcuar traditat familjare dhe shqiptare. Do vazhdoj t\u00eb p\u00ebrdoror z\u00ebrin tim p\u00ebr \u00e7\u00ebshtjen shqiptare, paqe dhe diplomaci n\u00eb bot\u00eb,\u201d tha Ermira Babamusta.<\/p>\n

N\u00eb 2010 Ermira fitoi burs\u00ebn \u201cJudy Mossburg\u201d dhuruar nga Universiteti i West Virgin\u00ebs, Qendra e Gruas dhe Studimeve fem\u00ebrore. Bursa \u00ebsht\u00eb p\u00ebr student\u00eb dhe profesionist\u00eb q\u00eb kan\u00eb dh\u00ebn\u00eb kontribut p\u00ebr t\u00eb drejtat e gruas dhe drejt\u00ebsi sociale. N\u00eb ver\u00eb t\u00eb 2010 Ermira Babamusta p\u00ebrfundoi studimin jasht\u00eb t\u00eb programit n\u00eb Strasburg, Franc\u00eb t\u00eb Ligjit Europian dhe Institucionet e BE-s\u00eb. Programi p\u00ebrmbajti seminare dhe vizita te Parlamenti Europian, K\u00ebshilli Europian, EuroCorps, Gjykata e t\u00eb Drejtave t\u00eb Njeriut, institucionet e BE-s\u00eb n\u00eb Strasburg, Franc\u00eb, Buksel, Belgjik\u00eb, Holland\u00eb, Ministria e Pun\u00ebve t\u00eb Jashtme n\u00eb Luxemburg, drejtori policore dhe gjykata rajonale n\u00eb Offenburg dhe Karlsruhe n\u00eb Gjermani.<\/p>\n

Ermira ka fitur \u00e7mimin Hanson Award (2003), dhuruar grave me arritje akademike t\u00eb dalluara, dh\u00ebn\u00eb gjat\u00eb Dit\u00ebs s\u00eb Nderimeve te Waldorf College, n\u00eb Iowa. Ka fituar burs\u00ebn e paqes \u201cPonberg p\u00ebr Shkenca Politike dhe Histori\u201d n\u00eb 2004-06, me dhurat\u00eb $16,000 plus burs\u00eb, dh\u00ebn\u00eb nga Instituti i Paqes Kessel, Minesota. Nd\u00ebrsa n\u00eb vitin 2009-10 ka fituar Enrichment Graduate Fellowship, dhuruar student\u00ebve t\u00eb dalluar t\u00eb doktoratur\u00ebs n\u00eb universitetin e West Virginia, q\u00eb kontrubojn\u00eb n\u00eb diversitetin kulturor, etnik dhe akademik, me nj\u00eb shum\u00eb $16,000 plus burs\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Ermira Babamusta honored as Woman of Courage on International Women\u2019s Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

March 8 is celebrated as the international day of women around the world. On 8 March 2005, Kessel Peace Institute honored Ermira Babamusta with the International Woman of Courage Award. Ermira was recognized as one of the extraordinary women around the globe who contributed to peace, promotion of women\u2019s rights, and cultural values for US, Albania and Kosovo. She has given several lectures, cultural presentations and seminars regarding these issues and has trained British diplomats and cultural attach\u00e9s who deployed in Kosovo, via the Ministry of Defense and Culture in UK. Currently Ermira is finishing up her doctoral work in political science at West Virginia University under the supervision of adviser Dr. Scott Crichlow, regarding politics and diplomacy of Kosovo.<\/p>\n

Kessel Peace Institute is founded by Abbas Kessel, a peace activist and political science professor at Minnesota State University, where Ermira Babamusta completed her first master\u2019s degree. Ermira is the winner of Dr. John Scherzer Scholarship (2003, Washington DC) \u2013 awarded to honor political science students who distinguish themselves through meaningful enrichment opportunities and seeks to develop into intellectual leaders and global citizens. Additionally, Ermira Babamusta is the winner of Hanson Award (2003, IA) \u2013 a distinguished service award given to women for outstanding academic achievement, given to recipient on Honors Day by Waldorf College. She is also the winner of \u2018Peace Scholarship\u2019 \u2013 Sponberg Peace Scholarship in History and Political Science (2004-06, MN) – awarded to highly successful women active in the promotion of peace, prevention of violence and abuse by Kessel Peace Institute, Minnesota State University ($16,000 plus a waiver of tuition).<\/p>\n

\u201cI wish all women around the world happy Women\u2019s International Day! On this day I remember my lovely mother, whom I have much love and respect for. She is such an inspiration to me. I am especially thankful to Albanian women in Albania and Kosovo who have significant achievements from politics to being strong figures in family and have been the driving force of economic development and progress in both countries. I will continue to use my voice for the Albanian cause, peace, diplomacy and women empowerment,\u201d said Ermira Babamusta.<\/p>\n

Ermira has obtained two masters degree in Political Science and Public Administration and an advanced graduate degree in United Nations Diplomacy from Long Island University. Ermira has worked at the Peacekeeping Department at the UN headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n

In 2010 Ermira was the recipient of Judy Mossburg scholarship, awarded by the WVU Center of Women and Gender Studies to fund professional and academic students committed to women rights and social justice. Additionally, Ermira was the winner of Enrichment Graduate Fellowship (2009-10) \u2013 awarded to academically excellent Ph.D. students based on academic merit and contribution to broadening the diversity in cultural, ethnic, academic, or artistic diversification ($16,000 plus a waiver of tuition).<\/p>\n

As an extension of WVU Political Science Department Ermira completed Strasbourg Summer Program in European Law and Institutions via Strassbourg University in France, headed by Dr. John Kilwein. The course included seminars and site visits at the European Parliament, Council of Europe, EuroCorps, Court of Human Rights, EU institutions located in Strasbourg (France), Brussels (Belgium) and Netherland, the Foreign Ministry in Luxembourg, police headquarters and regional courts in Offenburg and Karlsruhe (Germany), etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
