K\u00ebshtu emri i lasht\u00eb i Maqedonis\u00eb ishte Emathia(shqip: e madhja) dhe pellazg\u00ebt, t\u00eb detyruar t\u00eb shp\u00ebrngulen n\u00eb drejtim t\u00eb trevave t\u00eb sotme shqiptare, e em\u00ebrtuan krahinen malore Matia ose Mat. Studiuesi Spiro Konda, vyuri n\u00eb dukje sh\u00ebmbuj nga Odiseja e Homerit, ku emrat e maleve jan\u00eb kompozita t\u00eb p\u00ebrb\u00ebra nga nj\u00eb em\u00ebr shqitar me prejardhje nga banor\u00eb vendas pellazg\u00eb dhe nga p\u00ebrgjegj\u00ebsi i tij n\u00eb gjuh\u00ebn e banor\u00ebve grek\u00eb, q\u00eb erdh\u00ebn n\u00eb vend t\u00eb tyre.<\/p>\n<p>K\u00ebshtu, mund t\u00eb p\u00ebrmendim kompozit\u00ebn Gyropetra,t\u00eb p\u00ebrb\u00ebr nga fjala shqipe gur dhe ajo greke petra, e cila do t\u00eb thot\u00eb gjithashu \u201cgur\u201d. Fjala Megallopetras gyres, nj\u00eb kombinim i \u201cgur i madh\u201d n\u00eb Greqisht dhe \u201cgur\u201d n\u00eb shqip. Ai \u00ebsht\u00eb shprehur: \u201cFakti q\u00eb pellazg\u00ebt, t\u00eb sulmuar nga farefisi i tyre grek, u detyruan t\u00eb t\u00eb t\u00ebrhiqeshin nga ult\u00ebsirat p\u00ebr n\u00eb pyje dhe n\u00eb male, shpjegon p\u00ebrdorimin e gjer\u00eb t\u00eb emrave t\u00eb vendeve q\u00eb kan rr\u00ebnj\u00ebt shqipe pyll, male dhe gur\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Gjuh\u00ebht e vdekura l\u00ebn gjurm\u00eb n\u00ebpermjet em\u00ebrtimeve t\u00eb lumejve, t\u00ebmaleve dhe t\u00eb dukurive t\u00eb tjera t\u00eb q\u00ebndrueshme t\u00eb natyr\u00ebs, ashtu siq ka ndodhur me em\u00ebtimet e indian\u00ebve t\u00eb Amerik\u00ebs.
